Greenock Welcomes Cruise Ships

Oh well, summer is over and I've just realised that I haven't shown you any photographs of some of the lovely cruise ships which have visited Greenock this season.  About 40 cruise ships called in at Clydeport this year bringing passengers from all over the world.
A piper welcomes the Seabourn Sojourn.

The Aida Cara visited twice.

Here's the Grand Princess.

While I'm on the subject of ships, Couldn't finish this post without a photograph of Greenock's own Waverley (click to read about her).

Just one more ship - the Norwegian Sun - will arrive on 26 September.  Then even more cruise ships next year!

We cruised in the Caribbean three years ago; decided it was fun but we won't do it again unless we are much older! The ship IS the destination, we did NCL and had a great stateroom with balcony. As photography lovers, we love to do the site seeing and a day in port isn't enough! But let's see, if Scotland were on the itinerary and a piper met me...hmmm!

The cruise ship season is about to start here; they're all in the Med in the Summer and they come here for the Winter sunshine...as do we all!

Liz, I've had to have several goes at commenting due to word verification.
