The Story of Newspapers - Ladybird Book

My friend gave me this fabulous Ladybird Book - The Story of Newspapers.

Its from the Ladybird Achievements Book series from the late 1960s.  Written by W D Siddle, the illustrations are by R Embleton.

Love the illustrations.

Happy families!

Love, Liz

My son and daughter think I'm mad! I have kept all the Ladybird books I had as a child and all the ones they had too, despite the lack of any grandchildren on the horizon. They were such a big part of my hildhood and I learnt so much from them.
I especially love the 'What to Look for in' series on seasonal wildlife watching and my Garden Flowers one.

Great illustrations, as always with Ladybirds. The newspaper business is pretty different these days compared with how it worked when that book was written! xxx

What a great book and I love the 'family' demonstrating what reading the papers looks like.

A wonderful book - such amazing illustrations! Sadly, newspapers are slowly going by the wayside due to the internet, but I still subscribe to my local daily. xo Karen
