First Charity Shop Find In Months!!!

Isn't this little vintage milk jug very pretty?

It has been about four months since I've bought anything from a charity shop!  (I feel I should perhaps be saying this in hushed tones!)  I just haven't seen anything worth buying ..... until Saturday, that is.

It was only 75p - right in my price range.  I totally refuse to pay silly prices for these things.

It is a pretty little milk jug, vintage of course, by Royal Castle china.  I love the golden trim on the base and handle and I adore the big, blousy roses!  Slightly vulgar?

Hope you had some good finds this weekend.

Nothing vulgar about it, Liz. It is beautiful.
Love a good find. That's about $1-30 here in Aus!! Our op shops seem to be onto us here and there aren't many true bargains any more in a lot of the op shops that you get for mere small change.

A great find, very pretty, and looks perfect with the vintage embroidered coaster.
It is certainly getting harder to find decent and sensibly priced china in charity shops now, and has been for a while in the south east of England - you have been finding better bargains than I for a long time!Best prices here are found at the large antiques and collectors fairs or boot fairs.

I have noticed a distinct lack of china in the charity shops around where I live. I assume it is all getting snapped up by the vintage cafe owners who have cottoned on to the fact its nicer to have food and drink served from real china!

It's lovely, Liz and it is perfect in your sweet little kitchen! I just found some sweet rose fabric in my favorite thrift store ( as we call them here in the states). I made a cushion for my daybed. Have a lovely week! xo Karen

Very pretty - I don't think big and blowsy means vulgar at all (mainly because I might be described as big and blowsy myself!) xxx

That’s very pretty and the little embroidered cloth complements it perfectly.

Well worth the wait! I didn't buy a rose printed cake slice the other day because I baulked at the £5 price tag, and it wasn't even Royal Doulton, or Worcester, or Crown Derby.

That was a lucky find, our charity shops are going down hill. I think they are picked over before going into the shop.
I used to love the charity shops that were all in a jumble, they all seem so organized now, or it is me?
