Pretty Petunia
I don't know about you, but I'm finding it increasingly difficult to find really nice bits and pieces in the charity shops these days. So, it was with some surprise that I noticed this little dish in one of the local charity shop windows. The gorgeous pink colour drew my attention.
Got a closer look when the lady took it out of the window for me and my suspicions were confirmed - it was a Royal Winton piece.
The pattern is Petunia.
I love the shape of the dish, the colours and the pretty flowers. A lovely Thursday surprise.
Love, Liz

love your posts. Lots of greetings from a scotish heart to a scotish lady. A lot of my family live in scotland - glasgow. my ma is born in glasgow and she´s a really scotish lady living in germany, without loosing her accent...haha...
Best wishes to you and your family

It is indeed rare to find good vintage pieces now - most of the stuff is modern and uninspiring, and the few vintage pieces are often overpriced. I saw a yellow teaset today in one charity shop, the plain design that was everywhere in the 50s/60s (I remember my Granny had a set!)in either green, blue or yellow (cant think of the make)and they wanted £99 for it!
Well done its lovely!

I totally agree with you it is difficult to find nice bits of china at reasonable prices in flea markets or op shops. BUT! when we do doesn't it make that buy so much special? I love this little dish you have found it is a lovely pink and not too gaudy with masses of flowers...very dainty.
Lucky you!
Amanda :-)
