This People's Friend Baking Book belonged to my Mum.  I've kept it all these years but don't think I've ever baked anything out of it.

I was having a look through it while having a clear out and was going to throw it in the recycling when I  came across this recipe for butterscotch squares.  Admittedly, the black and white picture probably doesn't do them justice.  But I'm going to give them a try.

I'll let you know how they turn out!  There are some other tasty treats I might try too!

Love, Liz

I just love looking at old cookbooks. This one is a treasure especially since it was your Mum's . I look forward to hearing how the treats come out. Enjoy your baking time. Hugs.

It would have been a shame to throw it in the recycling, Liz!
