Being of a thrifty nature, I found some pink polka dot paper
from a roll of gift wrap which was in my cupboard, and two vintage advertising
postcards from my stash.
Wandering through the town half an hour later I walked into
Primark and saw these lovely floral hand towels and face cloths. The background was pink polka dots - perfect!
So, for less than a fiver and ten minutes work, my guest
bathroom has a fresh, new look! Isn't it
funny how things just come together out of the blue (or pink, in this case)?!

I love copies of old vintage place advertisements like those. I have a couple of York and Chicago and many more vintage postcards that eventually need to get framed and up onto a wall - eventually!
Lovely pictures and makeover.
I must pop into Primark to have a look at their new collection. Looks very good.
So cute! Very clever of you. Is there any better way to improve things than to surround them with polka dots?
What a lovely idea, I might do that with some vintage craft adverts that I have for my craft room. Thanks for sharing.
The frames look great! Now I want to get to Primark for some of those towels - They are crying out to me to be made into something...

What a great way to give your pictures a quick makeover - and even better they didn't cost anything!! Your new towels are pretty too! xx
Arent those towels and face cloths gorgeous? And so perfect with your new pink polka dot pictures - the postcards are wonderful.
It was obviously meant to be!
Great idea to use the gift wrap - the pictures came out great! Love the pink polka dots and how nice that you found some new pretties to match! So bright and cheerful. xo karen
Love those pix and linens. You can use scrapbook paper as background mattes too.
Great idea with the frames, they look fab. xxx
Well done. They look lovely. I still like the old photos though - I hope you didn't throw them away. The fading adds to their charm!
